Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc - The National Home of the Parrot Head Clubs and the ones who started it all. Timothy Schmitt never thought those great words of wisdom would instill so many to do so much in such a short time. Church of Buffett, Orthodox - Chris Wilson's definitive website, especially for those followers who adhere to the belief that "No albums that come after Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes are as good as any album that came before Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes." BuffettNews.com - An excellent source for news, gossip, trivia, pictures, merchandise, etc. The Coconut Modem - Long-time Parrot Heads with a great monthly newsletter distributed by email. Musicians on the Local Front Latitude - A fantastic local duo and favorites at Parrot Head Phlockings throughout the U.S. Voted Best TropRock Duo and Female Vocalist! Stringwood - Frequent performers at Coast of Carolina PHC parties and parrot head-friendly spots all along the Grand Strand. Laidback Larry - Singer/Songwriter and independent recording artist from Columbia, SC area, Specializing in TropRock Music with a long Jimmy Buffet Song List TJ Walsh - A great local music maker offering a blend of Buffett, boogie and Blues. Other TropRock Performers A1A - A1A has been known since 1992 as the official and original Jimmy Buffett tribute show. Parrot Head favorites wherever the play. Barrie Cunningham - A local favorite of Parrot Heads and everybody else who enjoys good music. Captain Cook and The Coconutz - A great band that has been around since the 80's, playing JB's music for many a crowd. Caribbean Cowboys - A great Carolina Caribbean band, and featured performers at the 2002 Throwback Shell Beach Party. Gene Mitchell & the Big Coconut Band - A real Southern boy, whose music weaves the Caribbean into his own Southern Style. Jim Morris - Mixing an island sound with a splash of Texas, Jim Morris produces a sound reminiscent of Jimmy Buffett's early music. Key West Band - A great Virginia Parrot Head Band, and featured performers for the 2004 Myrtle Beach Pelicans' Parrot Head Night. Landsharks Band - The featured performers at the 2003 & 2005 Throwback Shell Beach Party. Michael McCloud – The man, the myth, the legend… mainstay playing his best down island in Key West at the Schooner Wharf Bar, this guy will make you feel right at home. Phins - A great 6-man Tropical band and one of the featured bands at the 2005 Throwback Shell Beach Party. Rhythm & Rain - A great Mississippi Gulf Coast Duo, and the official band of the Towns Around Biloxi PHC. Great excuse for a road trip! Rum Punch Bandits - The official house band of the Sand lapper Parrot Head Club and a favorite party band across the Carolinas. St. Somewhere - Featured performers at the 2001 Throwback Shell Beach Party. Sunny Jim - The featured performer at the 2004 Throwback Shell Beach Party, Sunny Jim's music is uniquely “American Caribbean.” Literature Tropical style Reading -The truly complete Buffett lifestyle requires a hammock and a stack of good books. Here's a few from our Recommended Reading List: Island Bound - by J. D. Gordon. A great mix of suspense, mystery, adventure and carefree attitude in the Keys and the Caribbean. Travis McGee - The classic John MacDonald detective series. Required reading for all Parrot Heads. A Pirate Looks at Fifty - He blends gentle scenic narration with rambling, unplugged life stories meant to convey that he's made peace with the whole aging process.
